meh.
Here's a quick 15 minutes drawing of Zim sitting in that room where he was watching those films of the Skool Children teasing him. I heard on the commentary that Jhonen wanted it to be black in the room and just have Zim's face lit. I was disappointed we didn't get to see how cool that would've looked. I was raging, man! I was like "HOW HARD IS IT COLOR A BLACK ROOM?" Then I realized, hey, I can draw it! So I did exactly that.
Except I chickened out on darkening the room. I was worried I'd make it too dark.
With that, I discovered why they didn't draw a black room. We're all chickens.
